Vancestradamus's Fantasy Predictions: WR

I’m back to cover the divas of the NFL, the wide receivers. They fill highlight reels and some fill stat sheets. Those are the fantasy studs and can be worth high picks. I’ll tell you who to hang your hat on this fantasy season. Let’s begin.

1. Calvin Johnson-”Megatron” is simply unstoppable. He’s big, strong, fast, and has excellent hands. He had almost 1,700 yards last year with 16 TDs. If Matthew Stafford stays healthy, Johnson is an easy top pick. At one point he was on pace to shatter the TD record last season, and could set a blistering pace once again. Draft him early, probably in the top 5 or 6.

2. Larry Fitzgerald-The QB situation in Arizona was a mess in 2011, but Fitzgerald still had 1,400 yards and 8 TDs. His ability is second to none and with a more stable situation under center, he could be even better in 2012. His ability to turn short gains into long TDs certainly helps his fantasy value, and he’ll go in the 1st round.

@vancemeek bold call on bmarsh at number 4…though i agree with no love for andre johnson in the top 5

  • vancemeek

@auctiondraft I would be too scared to take Johnson high

  • auctiondraft

@vancemeek but bmarsh in the second round!? it’s a bold call sir. not a believer in m wallace or greg jennings?

  • vancemeek

@auctiondraft I think Cutler makes a big difference for Marshall. I moved Jennings down because Nelson will steal stats..

  • vancemeek

@auctiondraft but even with missing 3 games and Nelson having 15 TDs Jennings had 9 TDs and almost 1000 yards

  • 247SportsZone

@vancemeek great stuff man as always. Disagree with you on a few things but still love the work

  • vancemeek

@247SportsZone thanks. Disagreement is fine. Gives something to talk about.

  • 247SportsZone

@vancemeek agreed. Disagree with WHite at 3, Marshall at 4, Wes at 5, Dez at 6. Love the rest

  • vancemeek

@247SportsZone thanks for checking it out.

  • vancemeek

@247SportsZone where would you rank White BTW?

  • 247SportsZone

@vancemeek give me a sec. Trying to finish up some edits on a video. Happy to discuss though

  • vancemeek

    @247SportsZone that’s cool

  • 247SportsZone

@vancemeek I’d put him at 6. THink Julio Jones going to take more targets then people expect

  • 247SportsZone

@vancemeek also he is now 30 (31 in Nov.) not as big for a WR but still he is getting up there. I just think Julio steps up more

  • vancemeek

@247SportsZone fair point. I still think he’ll get his but good point
