Welcome back for another edition of Stripe Hype’s fantasy football mock draft, hosted by yours truly. As I stated at the end of the end of round 4, at this point all 12 teams have the foundation of their rosters and now are going to start scraping for sleeper picks and the next Trent Green of fantasy football. I only bring up the concussion-riddled former starting QB for the Kansas City Chiefs because he is the archetype of the pick you are looking for in the 5th and 6th rounds of your fantasy drafts. Throughout the later years of his career, Trent Green was nothing but production and invented the “meaningless 300 yard game.” While the Chiefs were miserable, Trent Green did nothing but find ways to score points for his fantasy owners across the country. Only 3 teams in this draft have not yet selected a QB and will be looking for mid-draft treasure to occupy that spot on their roster. The nine teams that already drafted a QB may not literally be looking for the next Trent Green, but will look to find players that will manufacture fantasy points the same way Green did, consistently every week and under the radar. But before we jump into the 5th round, here’s a review of where we are.
