2nd Tennessee Titans – 8-8

The Titans have a chance to have a very very good offense. They had a very good offensive line last year and with the addition of Steve Hutchinson it only got better. If Chris Johnson can get back to CJ2K form then they have a chance to be better than what I am predicting. The big question I have is what are they going to do at the QB position. Matt Hasselbeck was pretty good last year, but how long can they keep the ultra talented, and 8th pick in last years draft Jake Locker sitting on the bench. Whoever plays QB will have a plethora of weapons to throw too. Kenny Britt will return from an ACL injury, along with the arrival of draftee Kendall Wright. They join Nate Washington who had a really productive season last year, and Damian Williams. Also don’t forget about Jared Cook who had a really good final 3 games to last year and is immensely talented.
The Titans defense was a productive unit last year. While holding opponents to the 18th fewest yards in the league last year they gave up the 8th fewest points. The Titans didn’t get much pressure on the QB last year so they went out and signed Kamerion Wimbley away from the Raiders. They are hoping his addition and with Derrick Morgan 2 years removed from his ACL injury, that they have 2 DE”s that will get constant pressure on the QB. The loss of Cortland Finnegan hurt the Titans, but they should be ok as they have 2 other good CB’s in Jason McCourty and Alterraun Verner. Their linebacking core was very good last year and with Akeem Ayers and Colin McCarthy both now having a year of experience under their belts, it should only get better.
