Clearly this is an indication that he willing to give up on his NFL career. Although he has backed away from allegations that this tweet meant anything more than him being happy at home. However, the thing is that this is not the first time he has put out a message that seemed to indicate that he was willing to retire, before trying to pull it back and pretend it meant nothing.

In May, He told Sirius XM radio that he was not “100% committed” to playing football next season, and that he was thinking through things before he would make that decision. He later backed off and said that he has ever intention to play next year.

That one made sense to back off of for Reed. No team would want a player that does not know if he has the passion anymore to play in the National Football League. He had to come out, try to play it off as frustration, and tell the public ( and those he was negotiating with) that he still loves the game.

But this occurrence seemed different.
