Morning Headlines: Wes Welker & Patriots won’t Reach Extension, & Reds Win!


 

 

Its now expected that the Patriots and franchised wide receiver Wes Welker will not reach a long-term deal before Monday’s 4 p.m. ET deadline for franchise-tagged players. If Welker chooses to play under the tag, he’ll be owed $9.5 million. If the Pats chooses to use the tag again on Welker next season, he’ll be wowed $11.4 million.
