Franchise Tag Ticker: Ravens and Ray Rice Get Last-Second Deal Done

The Ravens and franchised RB Ray Rice agreed on a five-year, $40 million deal at the very last second and now the All-Pro RB will likely be a Raven for the foreseeable future.


The Bears and RB Matt Forte have agreed to terms on a four-year contract worth $32 million. Forte will also receive over $18 million in guarantees.


The Jaguars have reached a multi-year deal with kicker Josh Scobee. His deal is worth a base max of $13.8 million, with another $400k in incentives. His average of $3.45 million per year is the second-most of all Ks on a multi-yea deal.


Dashon Goldson’s agent, Ben Dogra, has stated, There will not be a long-term deal for Dashon.”


Franchised DE Cliff Avril is not mad after the Lions ended talks on a long-term extension.
