One Last Thought on Chad Johnson

You’ve all heard by now that Dolphins WR Chad Johnson was released yesterday following a domestic violence arrest wherein he was accused of headbutting his wife. Its sad to see the road this once Bengals great has sputtered out of control on. After at one point in his career appearing to be a lock for the hall-of-fame, Chad would be plagued by injuries, inconsistent play, Bob Bratkowski’s offense, reality shows, failure to memorize the Patriot’s playbook, and being a team distraction have left him without a team and likely a career that will simply be looked back upon as another case of “What could have been”.

As many great memories as I had as a Bengals fan watching Chad in his prime in Bengals stripes, I can’t help but remember him for his selfish antics, me-first mentality, and this image is a sad representation of what Chad was all about.

Sadly, this will probably be the only time he ever wears any hall of fame jacket.
