The only downside to Scott’s game that I can find is that he does not have enough gas in the tank to take one to the house from way down town. Back in 2009, Scott returned a Kickoff for a Touchdown against the Steelers (starts at 0:13 mark):
He ran out of gas so quickly that he relied on Quan Cosby to throw 7-10 blocks to the field to spring him loose. If you watch closely, you can see Cosby throw him a block before mid field, then out-run Scott to the other side of the field on a straight burst, to throw yet another block.
I believe that if and when Bernard Scott gets healthy, that if he can stay healthy, that he will have a major impact to a possibly very exciting offense for a very young and up and coming Bengals team.
