The news of Chad Johnson getting arrested for the alleged head-butt to his VH1 wife is a sad way to end a fun career. I’ll remember Chad as a big part of the Bengal revival and there was a definite feeling of “We’ve Arrived” when he made his proposal to Daphne after the long touchdown reception vs the Colts in 2005.
When I met him with my kids he was very nice, and he has done a lot of good things for people. In regards to this incident with his wife, everyone should reserve judgment. Although he had an incident when he was 22 years old there has been nothing noted since then. Cincinnati has always embraced their past heroes as time goes by. We still like buying hot chocolate from Ickey Woods and if I had Stanley Wilson’s prison address, I’d write him. I hope Chad lands on his feet.
