AFC North Healdines: Steelers James Harrison Undergoes Arthroscopic Surgery on Knee

January 8, 2012; Denver, CO, USA; Pittsburgh Steelers running back

Steelers OLB James Harrison underwent arthroscopic surgery on his troublesome knee Wednesday morning and may now start the 2012 regular season on the PUP list, making him ineligible to play for the first 6 weeks of the season.

After losing starting FB/TE David Johnson earlier in camp, and Rashard Mendenhall still on the shelf as he recovers from offseason ACL sugary, the Steelers backfield is in need of some reprieve, and QB Ben Roethlisberger may have to should the load for the steelers offense once again.
