Rookie QB Ryan Tannehill has been named the Dolphins’ Week 1 starting quarterback. The 8th-overall pick in the 2102 draft will get his first regular season action against the vaunted Houston Texans defense.

 

Former Lions CB Aaron Berry has been suspended three game for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

 

Saints MLB Curtis Lofton will miss the remainder of preseason with a high ankle sprain.

 

Falcons OT Will Svitek, who started 10 games at left tackle last season, is done for the year with an upper-arm injury.

 

Broncos rookie RB Ronnie Hillman is expected to make his preseason debut against the 49ers on Sunday after dealing with a hamstring injury that has kept him out of action up to this point.
