Scouting the AFC North: Browns Daily Soap Opera Features Joe Haden

Jun 5, 2012; Berea, OH, USA; Cleveland Browns defensive back

CB Joe Haden seems to really have a horrible relationship with the Browns coaching staff, as he was ordered off the field by coach Pat Shurmur for being too rough at the Browns’ final public workout today.

The Browns still haven’t heard anything about a possible suspension for Haden, who is facing a four-game suspension.

The Patriots released defensive end Jonathan Fanene on Tuesday. The formerBengal might need arthroscopic surgery later in the week, which would have him sidelined anywhere from 2-6 weeks, making a return to Cincinnati highly unlikely.

The Steelers linebacking corps continues to be banged up, as OLB Jason Worilds (wrist surgery) still has no timetable for a return.

Bengals safety and special teams ace Jeromy Miles is having a good battle with Taylor Mays for the starting spot at strong safety, but Miles is focused on the bigger picture and not a position battle.

Ravens WR Torrey Smith (ankle injury) is expected to play in Thursday’s preseason game against the Jaguars.

Green Bay Packers RB Cedric Benson is eager to face his former Bengals team when the two teams square off Thursday night.

Browns TE Evan Moore‘s roster spot could be in danger.
