The Bengals announced today that they have placed five players on the season-ending injured reserve list. The first of which is three-year veteran Brandon Ghee, who suffered dislocated wrist after having a strong camp and appearing to finally live up to the 3rd-round pick the Bengals spents on him, but alas, the team’s rescent string of 3rd-round busts continues.
They also placed fifth-rounder Shaun Prater on IR due to a knee injury, and projected starting left guard Travelle Wharton, who was lost in the first preseason game with a torn ACL.
The surprise player to go on IR was second-year safety Robert Sands, who suffered a chest injury on special teams last week in against the Falcons that managed to go under the radar.
Rookie WR/CB Taveon Rogers was also sent to IR after he seriously injured his shoulder Thursday night against the Packers.
