Pro Football Hall of Fame RB Steve Van Buren passed away Thursday evening at age of 91. He spent all of his eight NFL seasons with the Eagles and finished with 5,860 yards.  Van Buren is the only Eagles player to ever lead the league in rushing, and he did it four times. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1965.

The USADA will strip Lance Armstrong of his 7 Tour de France titles, and ban him from cycling for life.

The Colts are not talking to the Steelers about a trade for Mike Wallace. The Colts are however pursuing a trade for a veteran cornerback.

Two former teammates are claiming that dismissed DB Tyrann Mathieu will enroll at LSU this fall. He won’t play football this year, but he may be able to play for LSU in 2013 if he can show the LSU coaches he’s truly reformed his ways.

Titans WR Marc Mariani was carted off the field with a fractured left leg in Thursday night’s preseason game against Arizona. He had surgery last night and his NFL Career is in serious question now.
