Bengals Center Kyle Cook Might be out for Season with Foot Injury

Some disturbing news has come out tonight that the Bengals may be losing their starting center, Kyle Cook, to a season-ending foot injury:

Its unclear as to when exactly he injured it, but he’s missed several practices since the teams’ last preseason game against the Packers Thursday night. If he is in fact lost for the season, the Bengals could opt to go with a free agent like Jeff Faine, or they may hand the reigns over to Trevor Robinson, who has looked good this preseason, but may night be quite ready to handle the likes of Casey Hampton, Phil Taylor, and Haloti Ngata on a week-to-week basis.

Hopefully the injury turns out to be not as severe, though its safe to assume the Bengals will be without their starting center for at least the opener against Ngata and the Baltimore Ravens. Yikes!
