As the Bengals held practice today, the most significant news was concerning CB Dre Kirkpatrick, who was not participating on the heels of the teams’ final preseason game in Indianapolis against the Colts Thursday night:

A day after saying he was going to go hard to test his leg, rookie cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick was back on the sidelines for Monday’s practice. It’s unclear if it’s a planned day off like he had last week, but given how much time he’s missed and how much they’d like him to play Thursday, that would be surprising, but they do have one more practice Tuesday morning before the game.

Also absent from practice was DT Nick Hayden (unknown), TE Jermaine Gresham (knee), and center Kyle Cook (foot). They are listed as doubtful to play in Thursday’s preseason finale.

Those who missed practice but are expected to play Thursday were OLB/DE Dontay Moch, WR Mohammed Sanu, and OLB Emmnauel Lamur (hamstring).

As DE Robert Geathers  recovers from a knee injury that has cost him all of the preseason, he believes he will be ready for the opener against the Ravens.

DT Pat Sims (hamstring) continues to workout on the sideline, and is likely to be placed on the PUP list, making him ineligible to play for the first 6 games of the season.
