Morning Headlines: Final Preseason Night Claims Several Players for the Year

In the final week of the preseason, NFL teams tend to risk their starters to avoid serious injuries just a week before the regular season starts. That wasb’t the case for Texans starting OT Rashad Butler, who suffered a season-ending torn triceps injury in the teams’ preseason finale last night.

RB Isaiah Pead rushed 10 times for 58 yards versus the Ravens in the Rams’ preseason finale.

Steelers rookie ILB Sean Spence is believed to have a torn ACL, torn LCL, and dislocated kneecap.

Return to practice under new IR rule opens three-week window.

Rams DT Michael Brockers was carted to the locker room after sustaining a right ankle injury in the preseason finale.

Ravens Offensive Coordinator Cam Cameron has stated that RB Ray Rice’s touches will not decrease as the offense looks to use more no-huddle and pass-heavy sets.

The Steelers activated OLBs James Harrison (knee scope) and Jason Worilds (wrist surgery) from the training camp PUP list, and also waived RB Jason Ford.
