The Toughest Bengals Cut: Ryan Whalen over Roddrick Muckelroy

When the Bengals were coming down to the final decisions as to who would be on the 2012 opening day 53-man roster, its very likely that WR Ryan Whalen was one of the final players to make it onto the roster, being that he was likely the 7th receiver to make the cut. In that same token, MLB Roddrick Muckelroy was likely one of, if not the hardest player for the Bengals to say goodbye to. He can play all LB spots, is a quality special teams player, and started several preseason games at MLB in place of the oft-injured Rey Maualuga.

Its a move that will come with much scrutiny, and will undoubtedly be looked back upon at the end of the year after Muckelroy goes on to likely sign with another NFL team, while Ryan Whalen may or may not contribute to the Bengals this season.

After seeing the cuts, would you rather have kept Muckelroy over Whalen?
