Ogletree, Dez Bryant and Miles Austin combined to have 16 receptions for 273 yards and 3 TDs (17 yds per rec) against the banged up Giants secondary, and now the defending champs are 0-1 to start their title defense.
Packers RB James Starks (turf toe) has been officially ruled out for Week 1 vs. the 49ers, and Cedric Benson is set to open the season as their starting back, and may hold that title for the foreseeable future.
Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather will be sidelined 2-4 weeks after spraining his left MCL and PCL in Monday’s practice.
Bills WR Stevie Johnson is being hampered by a groin injury, and was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
RB Marshawn Lynch (back spasms) was held out of Seahawks practice Wednesday, and rookie Robert Turbin may be getting the start in his place.
Colts WR Austin Collie (concussions) was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice, and remains likely to play in the teams’ opener vs. the Chicago Bears.
Steelers RB Isaac Redman’s ankle injury could be an issue the entire season. Meanwhile, Rashard Mendenhall was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice and may maange to see snaps in week 1 after a miraculous recovery from offseason ACL surgery that was originally thought to lead to Mendenhall missing the entire 2012 season.
Lions DE Kyle Vanden Bosch agreed to restructure his contract in order to save the team salary cap space.
