Bengals Friday Injury Report: Carlos Dunlap as good as Out

The Bengals held an 80 minute practice today in helmets and shorts, as the team is now in the walkthrough stage of getting prepared to face the defending AFC North champion Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football.

Defensive-end Carlos Dunlap worked on the side for the third consecutive day during Bengals practice today and hasn’t practiced since spraining his knee in the first preseason game. Marvin Lewis has a strict “No practice, no play” policy, maKing Dunlap unlikely to play in the Monday night opener.

After missing the entire preseason with a knee injury, the Bengals will gladly welcome back DE Robert Geathers, who has been a full participant in practice this week and will likely be the starting DE opposite Michael Johnson. Even without Dunlap, a defensive line of Geno Atkins, Domato Peko Johnson, and Geathers is still a very formidable one, especially with the Ravens’ age on their offensive line.

Cornerback Jason Allen, who did not practice on Thursday with a quad injury that has plagued him for much of the preseason, did practice on a limited basis, and is likely to play on Monday night.

Tight end Donald Lee was limited in practice with a thigh injury, but is expected to play.
