Scouting the AFC North: Steelers Banged up as they look to Avoid 0-2 Start

Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin expects RG Ramon Foster (eye) and RT Marcus Gilbert (knee) to be fine for this week’s game against the Jets as they look to avoid an 0-2 start, which has historically been an early near-death sentence to NFL teams’ playoff hopes.  He also stated RB Jonathan Dwyer has earned an increased opportunity after a stellar preseason and then following it up with 43 rushing yards on just 9 carries in Sunday night’s loss to the Broncos.

The Ravens set out to open up the offense more in 2012, and they did just that in Monday night’s win over the Bengals, as they went no-huddle on 21-of-58 offensive snaps in the lopsided win.

Prior to Monday night’s game, Ravens RB Bobby Rainey was waved in favor of Anthoney Allen, but was later re-signed to the practice squad, and Head Coach John Harbaugh insists Rainey remains a big part of the Ravens’ plans.

Ravens rookie WR Deonte Thompson will be the primary kickoff returner over Jacoby Jones.
