The Bengals have updated their injury report for Thursday, and practicing fully were DE Carlos Dunlap and RB Bernard Scott, and both remain likely to make their 2012 debuts this Sunday vs. the Redskins.
The most noticeable news came from CB Leon Hall missing practice with a sore calf, which is likely the result of his Achilles injury he is still recovering from apparently. Hopefully he can play out the year without it flaring up to much, and eventually get back to his Pro-Bowl form. This may be a case of Hall having rushed back too soon from an injury that has as much as a 9-12 month rehab time. As bad as our secondary is right now, it might be better if he didn’t play for 1-2 games if he’s at risk of suffering a setback that could cost him games down the stretch of this season, or worse, re-injure the achilles again.
On the Redskins injury front, receiver Pierre Garcon (foot) was limited again in Thursday’s practice. Head coach Mike Shanahan isn’t optimistic the teams’ top wideout will be able to suit up Sunday, leaving Leonard Hankerson, Santana Moss, and Joshua Morgan to pick up the slack.
