Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald revealed yesterday that the Eagles nearly traded for the him in 2008. They reportedly offered a first-round pick and a third-round pick for the All-Pro receiver, but he signed a long-term deal to stay in Arizona.

 

The Eagles will be without receiver Jeremy Maclin and tackle King Dunlap in their matchup with the Cardinals on Sunday.

 

Rams RB Steven Jackson was held out of practice Friday, and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against Da Bears.

 

The Chargers expect RB Ryan Mathews (clavicle, questionable) to make his 2012 NFL debut Sunday against the Falcons. 

 

While suspended Saints Interim Head Coach Joe Vitt serves out his 6-game suspension, he is working with Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to help with wounded veterans.

 

Brandon Lloyd (thigh) is listed as questionable for Week 3 after being limited in practice for a third straight day Friday.

 

Packers WR Greg Jennings (groin) did practice on a limited basis Friday, but remains uncertain to play in Week 3.

 

The Cowboys have ruled out DT Jay Ratliff for the third straight game

 

The Falcons should have their dynamic duo of receivers as Julio Jones (thigh) and Roddy White (knee) are both listed as probable for Week 3 after returning to full practice Friday.
