On the Bengals injury front, Leon Hall, the teams’ top defensive-back, is inactive for today’s game against the Redskins, as he is suffering from a calf injury. He was listed as questionable throughout the week, but did go through practice Friday, leaving most with the impression he would be able to go today. Hall will be replaced in the starting lineup by Terence Newman.
With the secondary depleted, it will be up to the Bengals pass-rush to to not allow Redskins QB Robert Griffin III to have all day to pick apart the weakened Bengals secondary. They’ll get a significant boost from the return of DE Carlos Dunlap, who has accounted for 14 sacks in just 24 career games.
RB Bernard Scott will also make his 2012 NFL debut today.
On the Redskins injury front, they will be without their top wide receiver in Pierre Garcon, as he is officially out for today’s game. Garcon was listed as doubtful on the team’s official injury report Friday after being a limited in practice all week with a foot injury.
The team will also be without starting safety Brandon Meriweather, who is suffering from a knee injury.
