Bengals – Jaguars Injury Report: Nate Clements Doubtful, LB Daryl Smith and DE George Selvie Out

Bengals CB/safety Nate Clements was absent from practice with what’s being called a calf injury. Clements has started games at both CB and safety this year after Jeromy Miles and Taylor Mays failed to show any consistency at the position, leading the team to sign veteran Chris Crocker, who now looks like he’ll be thrown straight into action this weekend vs. Jacksonville after this news just came out:

The Bengals look like they’ll also be without Jason Allen, who would have likely served as the teams’ fourth corner if Clements had started at safety. With Hall questionable to play as well, the team could be down to just Terrance Newman & Adam Jones, with Chris Crocker playing nickle-corner.

Starting center Jeff Faine is also questionable, leaving rookie backup Trevor Robinson on deck for his first career start.
