Scouting the AFC North: Steelers Finally Close to Full Strength

Facing an unthinkable 1-3 start if they lose on Sunday, the Steelers will be getting a significant boost, as they have listed RB Rashard Mendenhall, safety, Troy Polamalu, and OLB James Harrison as probable for Sunday’s game against the Eagles. Harrison and Polamalu will return to the starting lineup after missing the last few weeks and watched from the sideline as their defense was picked apart by the likes of Carson Palmer, while Mendenhall will likely get limited touches coming off the bench.

Ravens Defensive Coordinator Dean Pees believes that All-Pro DT Haloti Ngata is performing at the highest level of his career this year, and has only reinforced the belieif he’s one of, if not the best defensive lineman in the NFL.

WR Torrey Smith has been dealing with a lingering ankle injury, but is listed as probable for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.

Browns Head Coach Pat Shurmur confirmed today that RB Trent Richardson missed practice today to be with his girlfriend, who is having a baby. He also said Richardson will play on Sunday.

The team will be hamstrung at receiver Sunday as they’ll be down a pair of wideouts suffering from hamstring injuries as Mohamed Massaquoi Travis Benjamin are listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the defending Super Bowl champion Giants.
