Morning NFL Headlines: Frank Caliendo joins ESPN



Redskins QB Robert Griffin III participated in practice Wednesdayand said he’s had no recurring concussion-like symptoms after being knocked out of Sunday’s loss to the Falcons with a concussion.


Comedian Frank Caliendo has announced that he’ll begin appearing on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown. He was formerly a a part of the FOX NFL pregame show.


After suffering a sprained finger in the 49ers’ Week 5 win over the Bills , QB Alex Smith practiced fully on Wednesday, and looks to be ready for the teams’ NFC Championship game rematch against the Giants on Sunday.

Jets TE Dustin Keller (hamstring) believes he’ll be ready to play in Sunday’s matchup with the Colts.


Even though the Texans lost All-Pro LB Brian Cushing to an ACL tear, he still believes his team will win the Super Bowl without him. The NFL is also reviewing the hit that Jets guard Matt Slausen put on Cushing that appeared to be a dirty hit, and may be getting ready to discipline him.


The Bears and Head Coach Lovie Smith are not currently discussing a contract extension.


49ers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh wants his team to stay paranoid.


Jets owner Woody Johnson said Wednesday that controversial backup QB Tim Tebow will be with the team at least three more years.
