Pittsburgh Steelers Drop One to Titans: Bengals Get Breathing Room in AFC North

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger passed for a whopping 363 yards against a struggling Titans secondary, yet went into the locker room with a 2-3 record all the same. With the Titans getting one last chance after a 54 yard field-goal miss by the Steelers, a twenty-five yard pass play from Matt Hasselback helped seal the Steelers return to a sub-500 record through week 6. One kick by Rob Bironas as time expired is what it took to lead the Titans to a 26-23 win, giving the Bengals some much-needed breathing room for second place in the AFC North division.

Trailing the Ravens by one game now for the lead in the division, the Bengals are sitting at an average 3-2 with Cleveland coming up. This week they hope they can move that number in the win column up, and they can feel a little more comfortable without the Steelers breathing down their necks. Not saying that won’t change, but for now, it’s a very good feeling to have.
