The biggest injury news of the day was regarding DT Pat Sims, who is eligible to come off of the PUP list, but Marvin Lewis said the team won’t activate him for Sunday’s game vs. the Steelers, giving him a full two weeks to prepare and get into football shape before the teams’ next game vs. the Denver Broncos on November 4th.
LB/DE Dontay Moch continues to miss practice with an unknown sickness that caused him to miss last Thursday’s practice, but did practice Friday and made his NFL debut vs. the Browns in limited snaps. Hopefully he’ll be able to play this week and help provide another pass-rushing threat against a banged-up Steelers offensive line.
The biggest loss for Pittsburgh will be if Pro Bowl center Maurkice Pouncey is unable to suit up after a knee injury forced him from last weeks’ loss to the Titans, but he will have had nine days to recover since sustaining the injury.
And despite the bitter rivalry between the two teams, Steelers CB Ike Taylor did praise the greatness that is A.J. Green:
RT @cbssteelers: Ike Taylor calls AJ Green “a top-3 receiver” in the NFL. Says he’s got size–also agility of smaller WRs such as A.Brown
