With RB Bernard Scott on the injured reserve list and Brian Leonard having missed three practices this week, the Bengals will enter Sunday night’s game vs. the Steelers with just BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Cedric Peerman as their only healthy halfbacks. That’s not to say the team won’t look to give fullback Chris Pressley some rare carries, or at least that’s what Head Coach Marvin Lewis suggested today:
Lewis said if Leonard can’t play Sunday that FB Chris Pressley could be the third RB.

Last week, the Bengals were held to a mere 76 yards on 20 carries (3.8 ypc average), and never seem determined to establish the running game against a Browns team who had surrendered 243 rushing yards to the Giants the previous week. Going against the Steelers’ 9th-ranked rushing defense Sunday won’t help the NFL’s 22nd-ranked rushing-offense that the Bengals currently have, meaning that QB Andy Dalton will likely once again have to carry the offensive load.
