NFL News and Views: The Beginning and the End of Jonathan Vilma


 

 

Saints LB Jonathan Vilma is expected to make his 2012 debut this Sunday vs. the Bucanneers, and it may be the only game he suits up for in 2012, and with his resent knee problems, one can’t rule out Sunday could be the last time we ever see Vilma on an NFL field. He’s expected to play 20-30 snaps at the weakside linebacker spot with free-agent acquisition Curtis Lofton manning Vilma’s normal middle linebacker spot, where he has routinely been one of the best at his position for much of the past decade since coming out of the U.

 

Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray (foot) has been ruled out for Week 7, meaning former first-round bust Felix Jones will have a brief window of opportunity to revive what looked like a promising NFL career before injuries began plaguing the former Arkansas Razorback.
