After back-to-back losses, the Bengals are in a desperation situation going into Sunday night’s AFC North showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and receiver A.J. Green knows it’s now or never if the Bengals want to be contenders in 2012 and not pretenders:
This is a must win for us. We let two slip away from us [losses to Miami and Cleveland] that we felt we should’ve had, but we can’t go back to those games. So, I feel like this is a must win because it’s a division game. If you want to take the next step you’ve got to be able to beat those teams, Baltimore and Pittsburgh.
Marvin Lewis joined NFL AM Thursday morning to discuss the team’s start to the 2012 season, and called A.J. Green “the most talented guy I’ve seen as a receiver.”
Now that linebacker/defensive end Dontay Moch is a father after his girlfriend gave birth to a new baby girl this week, Moch is happy to be back at practice and face the Steelers for the first time on Sunday:
I had to be my lady’s support. Just had to be there. I feel great welcoming in a new life. Yeah, I’m a little tired but I’m here to do my job and that’s what I’m going to do.
And for the die-hard Bengals fans who still have faith their team can make a run to the Super Bowl, the Bengals have gone from 75-1 to 125-1 to win the Super Bowl according to BoVada.
