When the Bengals return from their Week 8 bye-week in the midst of a three-game losing streak, they-ll be facing off against a Denver Broncos team that is heavily favored right now to win the AFC West, but at the very least should be in the playoffs come January. Since the Bengals blew up their team last year and rebuilt it with a foundation of Andy Dalton and A.J. Green, the Bengals are 0-10 against teams that made the playoffs in 2011.
They went 0-8 in 2011, and have lost to Pittsburgh and Baltimore this year who both have good chances to be in the postseason this year, but with a win against Denver, they’ll likely have their first win over a team that goes on to make the postseason. It won’t be easy though as they face a Bengals-killer in Peyton Manning, who is 7-0 all-time against Cincinnati. While the Bengals are unlikely to play in the postseason this year, they still have a chance to make significant strides in their next nine games which will see them play as many as seven playoff teams.
