The Bengals next opponent in the Denver Broncos are on a tear right now, winning three of the past four games and throttling the New Orleans Saints last night by a score of 34-14 and are now in sole possession of the AFC West at 4-3 with wins already over the second-place Chargers and third-place Raiders.
Eagles Head Coach Andy Reid was noncommittal after Sunday’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons when asked about the job security of starting QB Michael Vick. Both Vick and Reid are firmly on the hot seat right now, and its likely that neither is back in Philadelphia after the season. The only question is whether they can survive the 2012 season.
Sports Illustrated’s Peter King believes Rams RB Steven Jackson and Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe are the two likeliest players in the league to be traded prior to Tuesday’s deadline.
Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams is likely to be either traded by Tuesday’s trade deadline, or cut during the offseason.
CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora is reporting that there’s a significant chance Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB LeGarrette Blount may be traded prior to Tuesday’s 4PM ET trade deadline.
Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill suffered a left quad and knee contusion in the first quarter of Sunday’s 30-9 win over the Jets, and should be expected to suit up for next week’s matchup against the Colts, with both teams sitting at 4-3 and dreaming of the postseason after many had them projected to be amongst the league’s worst teams.
