In a Monday night NFC West showdown  the 49ers came to Arizona and jumped all over the battered Cardinals en route to an easy 24-3 victory to improve to 6-2, two games ahead of both the Cardinals and the Seahawks in the NFC West. QB Alex Smith continued to show why he should be considered in the upper-echelon of NFL quarterbacks, as he completed 18/19 passes for 232 yards, with three TDs and no interceptions.

Titans Head Coach Mike Munchak said Monday that QB Jake Locker still hasn’t received medical clearance to take hits as he recovers from a fracture in his left shoulder. Matt Hasselbeck will remain the starting quarterback.

The Eagles won’t likely make a quarterback change, despite the teams’ 3-4 record and the less-than-stellar play of Michael Vick.

Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh said there are no plans to make wholesale changes before Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.

The NFL has announced that the Week 8 trading deadline has been extended by two days, to Thursday at 4:00 p.m. ET.
