Election Day 2012 is here, and it’s time for anyone with the right to vote to let their voices be heard and go out and decide who they think is best suited to lead our country for the next four years. While football is very minor compared to who is running our country, there is still an election of sorts going on in the NFL. That is the annual Pro Bowl balloting, an opportunity given to fans to let their voices and opinions be heard on who they think is most deserving of a trip to Honolulu to be honored as one of the NFL’s best players at his position.
Despite a 3-5 record and seemingly already out of the playoff race, several Bengals are worth of being selected to this years’ All-Star game of NFL players. Rookie right guard Kevin is currently rated as the third-best AFC guard (+12.6) by PFF, and has been arguably the biggest surprise of Cincinnati’s season. Rookie lineman don’t typically come in and have an immediate impact like Zeitler has, especially when they’re the 27th-overall pick of their respective draft.
Defensive tackle Geno Atkins(+26.8) still ranks as the #1 DT by 12 points as he leads all DTs in sacks with seven, and will be garnering All-Pro consideration at season’s end.
