Giants @ Bengals Injury Report: Kenny Phillips Out, & Bengals Down Two Centers

Bengals Injury Report:

Faine, Jeff C Hamstring DNP - - -
Geathers, Robert DE Knee FP - - -
Green-Ellis, BenJarvus RB Illness DNP - - -

Nelson, Reggie S Hamstring DNP - - -
Newman, Terence CB Hamstring LP - - -
Robinson, Trevor C/G Hamstring LP - - -

Starting center Jeff Faine missed practice with an injured hamstring, the same injury that limited his backup, rookie Trevor Robinson during today’s session. The Giants have the third-most sacks in the NFL, while the Bengals have allowed the eighth-most sacks. Hopefully one of the two can fully practice Thursday to help better prepare for an elite Giants defensive line.

Giants Injury Report:

NAME POSITION INJURY . . . GAME STATUS

WR Hakeem Nicks’ missed today with a swollen knee, and has suffered from this on and off throughout the year, so his status for Sunday is uncertain. The Giants have said they are going to rest starting safety Kenny Phillips through next week’s bye, meaning he won’t suit up against the Bengals Sunday.
