NFL Headlines: Several Key Players Likely Heading to Injured Reserve

Eagles Pro bowl right tackle Todd Herreman’s season is likely over after he suffered a tendon injury in his ankle during the teams’ Monday night loss to the New Orleans Saints. As bad as the Eagles o-line has been Herreman has been one of the most consistent lineman Philly has had over the years, though it was primarily at guard before he was moved to tackle out of necessity.

Packers rookie OLB Nick Perry reportedly underwent surgery on his left wrist Tuesday, and is expected to miss the remainder of the 2012 season.

The Bills placed starting right tackle Erik Pears and veteran cornerback Terrence McGee on injured reserve Tuesday

Titans Head Coach Mike Munchak said Tuesday that QB Jake Locker (shoulder) has been cleared for practice and will split reps with Matt Hasselbeck this week as he looks to reclaim his starting job.

The Giants have given $500,000 to the Hurricane Sandy recovery effort

Colts players are shaving their heads in support of Head Coach Chuck Pagano and his fight against cancer.

Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin said yesterday that Pro Bowl receiver Antonio Brown (ankle) is doubtful to play in Monday night’s game against the Chiefs, and that he expects starting OT Marcus Gilbert (ankle) and safety Troy Polamalu (calf) to also be out.
