With Reggie Nelson still out with a hamstring injury, expect to see Taylor Mays getting the nod this week if Nelson can’t go. Mays played well vs. the Giants in his first start since getting benched in Week 2. He reclaimed his starting spot in Week 4 due to injuries, but had played sparingly since before getting the call this past Sunday.

Chiefs Head Coach Romeo Crennel has decided that Matt Cassel will be the teams’ starting QB this week vs. the Bengals.

Despite fully practicing, backup QB Brady Quinn will not play Sunday, as Crennel revealed today that he’s not been cleared to play fas a result of concussions. It’s an odd development, as Quinn said yesterday he had been medically cleared and that he’s recovered from a concussion.
