For Once, Bengals have more Answers than Questions

Could Mohamed Sanu actually be solidifying himself as the Robin to A.J. Green’s Batman? Is Geno Atkins the best defensive tackle in the league? Is Andre Smith finally living up to his billing as the 6th-overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft? The Bengals have been answering questions all season long, and it’s no surprise the team sits at 5-5, but over the last two weeks, the Bengals have certainly been providing more answers to their struggles in stead of letting more questions arise.

If you read to Pro Football Focus’ analysis of yesterday’s Bengals vs. Chiefs game, it’s not hard to come to this conclusion:

- In a comfortable win for the Bengals, nobody stood out more than Geno Atkins (+8.9). The best grades after that belonged to Andre Smith (+3.4) and A.J. Green (+2.0).

- The Bengals offensive line gave up just five pressures on 34 dropbacks.

- This week Mohamed Sanu matched the 33 routes run of A.J. Green for a joint lead of the receivers. Brandon Tate managed 21 with Andrew Hawkins out, while Armon Binns (5) and Ryan Whalen (7) both got some playing time.

Hopefully the Bengals continue to have more answers to their opponents than questions regarding their team as they look to continue to push for the postseason.
