Former Bengal and current Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer returns to Cincinnati on Sunday for what figures to be an emotional game against his former. CBS Sports did an interview with Palmer in light of Sunday’s game, specifically asking him his feelings about making his long-awaited return back to Cincinnati:

"I’m excited. You spend a certain amount of time somewhere, it’s always a little bit different going back. More importantly, we have to get a win. It’s been a rough environment. Any time you lose, it’s a rough environment. Having lost a couple, we got to get back on a winning track. It’s a good opportunity to go on the road, go on a long trip and kind of break that spell we’ve had for a while and get back in the win column."

After another solid outing by TE Jermaine Gresham on Sunday, Marvin Lewis is lauding the former All-American from Oklahoma as he looks to finally be living up to his potential:

"He’s playing like we expect Jermaine to keep playing; he’s doing a great job. He’s really had a good season, and he’s getting better each and every week. He’s putting the team on his shoulders. He’s doing that in the running game, and he’s doing it as a receiver. This is why we got him. He’s doing a great job of it, and he keeps growing with it and he’s having fun with it. He likes to be the guy. He’s doing a good job of it."

In case you missed it earlier in the week, her’e the Sports Illustrated article on A.J. Green being potentially the best receiver in the entire NFL:

"Without taking anything away from guys like Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall, Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne and so on, the case could be made that Green is the top receiver in football right now. He may wind up leading the league in touchdown receptions and is on pace to finish in the top 10 for both catches and receiving yards."
