After the Bengals scored their third straight victory today over the Oakland Raiders, they now find themselves in 7th-place in the AFC standings, despite having the same record as the Pittsburgh Steelers who currently hold the final wild card spot:

AFC W L T PCT HOME ROAD DIV CONF
Houston 10 1 0 .909 5-1-0 5-0-0 3-0-0 8-0-0
Baltimore 9 2 0 .818 5-0-0 4-2-0 4-0-0 8-1-0

Indianapolis 7 4 0 .636 5-1-0 2-3-0 2-1-0 5-3-0
Pittsburgh 6 5 0 .545 4-1-0 2-4-0 1-2-0 3-5-0
Cincinnati 6 5 0 .545 3-3-0 3-2-0 1-3-0 4-5-0
Miami 5 6 0 .455 3-2-0 2-4-0 1-2-0 3-5-0

The Bengals will head to San Diego to take on the Chargers next week after they just dropped a heart-breaking 16-13 loss in overtime to the Baltimore Ravens. They’re essentially out of the playoff picture. The Dolphins are nipping at the Bengals heels, and have a head-to-head win over the Bengals, so hopefully they’ll lose a few games down the stretch. The week 16 matchup for Pittsburgh is truly shaping up to be a regular-season playoff game. The Bengals just need to take care of their own business until then with winnable games vs. the Chargers, Eagles, and Cowboys coming up.
