It’d been a long year for Eagles backup RB Bryce Brown. He was drafted in the 7th-round of the 2012 NFL Draft, and received limited carries behind All-Pro Lesean McCoy. With McCoy out with a concussion, Brown received his first career NFL start on Monday Night Football, and he didn’t disappoint as he rushed for 178 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries in Monday night’s 30-22 loss to the Panthers.
He did have two costly fumbles that ended up preventing the Eagles from pulling out the win, and Head Coach Andy Reid may not make it through the season with his team sitting at 3-8 after many proclaimed this year as “Super Bowl or bust” for Philadelphia. Panthers QB Cam Newton was the real star of the night as he completed 18/28 passes for 306 yards and two touchdowns and added 52 rushing yards and two scores.
Fresh off a loss to the Jaguars that ended any playoff hopes for Tennessee, the Titans fired offensive coordinator Chris Palmer yesterday and replaced him with QBs coach Dowell Loggains.
The NFL announced that Lions DT Ndamukong Suh will not be suspended for his Thanksgiving kick to the groin of Texans QB Matt Schaub.
