Like Jason said, Marvin’s wasted timeout is going to come back to haunt him.
Nobody does the sit in a hole in zone coverage like Witten.
That’s the second dropped interception by Newman today, but both he and Pacman have played very well against their former team.
Bengals run 5 straight pass plays with Dalton getting sacked on 3rd down. DAL takes over at DAL 27 with 3:44 left
But takes a sack by Spencer when he makes Zeitler look like a rookie. The window is wide open for the Cowboys now.
Great pocket presence by Dalton when every yard matters.
Romo to Bryant for a 27 yard TD after converting a 1st and 20 and 3rd and 10 on this drive
Cowboys killing Bengals on crossing routes this drive, down to CIN 26
I expected the Cowboys to run those crossing routes all day, but they are having success now.
Pressure from Geno caused what should have been a Nate Clements INT.
That holding penalty is why Doug Free has been riding the pine. He can plow as a run blocker, but his feet are just too slow to keep up with Dunlap.
It’s still a two-score game, but it’s dangerous to keep Romo within striking distance.
I strongly dislike these referees
BJGE rumbles for 38 yards but block in the back penalty pushes it back 10 yards.
It’s time for Green-Ellis to put the game away.
Love seeing Lamur in for Maualuga on third down to cover Witten.
Geno Atkins reaches double digits in sacks (10.5).
Both of the head coaches in this game need a game-management assistant.
Classic Marvin Lewis game management.
What is Marv thinking?
Bengals use last timeout with 14:29 left in fourth. That might come back to bite them
Beautiful Huber 47-yd punt is downed at 2-yard line
And another drop keeps the Cowboys in the game.
The Bengals are driving towards the final nail in the coffin. Momentum is firmly on their side.
That swim move that Herron is using on the punt block is very very nice.
Nelson gets revenge for bad call with 3rd down sack of Romo. Bengals get it back at CIN 34.
That zone blitz had Romo all turned around. The Bengals defense has the Cowboys on their heels.
Reggie Nelson got jobbed on that call. Secondary is playing good coverage to match the pressure up front.
Green with another 3rd down drop. Brown on for 52-yd FG. Bengals up lead to 19-10 with 6:45 left in 3rd qtr, Brown’s 29th career field goal from beyond 50.
Josh Brown nails a huge field goal, and I am breathing much easier than I was during the first field goal attempt.
A.J. tried to catch the ball with his body wide open and drops what would have been a 3rd down conversion.
Next stop on the Romo pain train? Genoville.
Green with a rare drop on 3rd down. Brown kicks his 3rd FG, a 25-yarder, to give Bengals 16-10 lead
In this red zone trip, Gresham, Green and Jones all had what should have been TD passes dropped or wiped out by illegal touching.
Despite the Marvin Jones TD getting wiped out, he is really having a coming out party.
All the lip readers in the audience loved that exchange. And who is Rob Ryan to make fun of the size of Smith’s posterior.
And gets a 15-yard flag. 1st-and-goal
Andre Smith is jawing with Rob Ryan. I love it.
Great interview. Love the kid!
ORSON BABY! The only professional player I’ve ever interviewed. Thanks big-O.
Orson Charles in the flat to convert the first down. And there’s the weekly whetting of my Orson Charles appetite. Feed him more.
Trevor Robinson is back in at center to start the second half.
At the half — Bengals 13, Cowboys 10
Bengals Michael Johnson injured his right foot and his return is questionable.
Terrible decision by Romo in throwing the interception to Reggie Nelson. Caused by pressure by MJ and Dunlap
A pointless facemask penalty by Dunlap ruined an excellent, relentless sack by MJ93
Zimmer is starting to dial up some pressure now. Romo is feeling it.
This is the drives of drops. Dropped INT by Newman followed by dropped pass by Dwayne Harris. 3rd down coming…
Great defense by Hall, but an outstanding throw by Romo. Looked like Hall got his back twisted around. Yikes.
Leon Hall is just so good at making open field tackles. Eliminates the biggest part of Miles Austin’s game.
It was only a matter of time before Geno made a huge play behind the line.
Not sure what just happened on that kickoff return
Definitely held my breath on that Josh Brown 33-yard field goal.
If you would have told me Bengals would be 1-3 in red zone, but converted both field goals, I’d take it, especially with Mike Nugent out.
During 4-game win streak Bengals have been converting red zone TDs. Today just 1-for-3, but still hold 13-10 lead.
I cursed as Dalton overthrew a wide-open Hawkins on 3rd down
It looks like Baby Hawk still has a little rust to shake off, he and Dalton looked out of sync on that third down.
Between Jones and Gresham, both those big bodies have been finding big success down the middle of the field.
No surprise they’ve lined him up there a few plays
Jones looks like a tight end with his size and hands.
When a guy like Marvin Jones is in the slot, the post route is going to be huge.
Hawkins is racking up the YAC against man coverage.
Even though DeMarco Murray broke the plane for the TD, a nice play by Vinny Rey by coming up for the stop.
Maualuga jumps over Murray instead of taking out his legs, hurts himself in the process.
There’s no way that Austin TD stands
Then follows it up by a hanging deep INT. Green didn’t help by not coming back to the ball.
Dalton throws pick to Carr. Romo hits Witten down to 3.
Great ball placement by Dalton on the first down throw to Green. Perfectly outside, corner in man can’t get to the ball.
It’s good to have Kyle Cook back. Huge holes up the middle, and Cook stayed still while getting run over on the hard-count encroachment.
Lucky no flag.
Boom Herron did a good Ced Peerman impression almost blocking a punt.
Do just that on next play, but Michael Johnson pressures causes Romo to overthrow Austin who was open deep.
Leon Hall came off the field after falling behind Austin down the sideline. Not good.
End of 1st qtr. Bengals with 61 yds rushing, 49 passing. Marvin Jones 54 total yards
Dallas intent on dinking and dunking Bengals to death. Will eventually use that to go for play-action bomb to Bryant or Austin.
DeMarco Murray gets going downhill and he is a load to take down. Leon Hall made a great tackle on the outside.
The Cowboys are getting pressure up the middle, but Dalton has been adept at avoiding the sacks so far.
Hatcher busts through for sack and forces a Brown FG. Bengals lead 10-3
If the Cowboys are going to play A.J. in straight man, then A.J. is going to make them pay.
A big run on an end-around and a great catch on a poorly placed throw, and Marvin Jones might have his own coming out party.
Cowboys go three and out. After a bad punt, Bengals will take over on their own 47
So far Romo looks to be targeting Adam Jones with breaking routes.
Leon Hall against Miles Austin is going to be a fun battle to watch today.
Gives Dalton 25 TD on year with 3 games left after throwing 20 in his rookie year
It’s good to see Baby Hawk back doing the magic that he does now that Sanu is gone.
Was recorded as a Hawkins shovel pass from Dalton for an 8-yard TD
Baby Hawk takes the rock and SCORES!!! Bengals take 7-3 lead
Good to see the fullback still alive and well
And a nice snag by referee Bill Vinovich.
Pressley’s massive lead block springs Ellis for a 20-yard gain.
Huge hole up the middle. The Bengals line is going to win the battle up the middle today.
Romo was 5 of 6 on the drive for 47 yards. Tate returns the kickoff to the 30
Crocker with a huge deflection on 3rd-and-1 forces Dallas FG. Score now 3-0.
Patient defense against a Murray run and a heads up play by Robert Geathers by not biting on the run fake, and Cincy gets the stop.
DAL begins the game with 3 straight first downs. Ball now at CIN 28.
Bengals rushed 6 and Romo still had all day. Not a good sign.
Worth noting Dan Herron is active and was in on kick team
Josh Brown’s first kickoff is a touchback.
I’m expecting to see plenty of those short crossing routes from Dallas today
Dallas Cowboys Elect To Receive After Winning Coin Toss
We’re moments away from kickoff!
