NFL News: Rob Gronkowski Out, Clay Matthews In

Patriots All-Pro TE Rob Gronkowski has come a long way in his recovery from a broken forearm that has cost him the past month of NFL action, and despite being listed as questionable for the teams’ Sunday night tilt with the San Francisco 49ers, it’s being reported that he will not play.

Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy has indicated that Pro Bowl OLB Clay Matthews will return this Sunday for the teams’ NFC South showdown against the Chicago Bears, but his snaps will be limited as he is still feeling the effects of a hamstring injury that has cost him

Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor has played just one snap in 29 regular-season games in his NFL career, and despite the team’s 3-10 record with no foundation to build on and a team full of old, disinterested players, head coach Dennis Allen has stated that Pryor will not be taking Carson Palmer’s starting spot and will only be utilized as a package player if he got snaps against the Chiefs in Week 15.
