The Bengals (8-6) took a half-game lead over the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6) for the last playoff spot in the AFC after they defeated the Philadelphia Eagles, 34-13 last Thursday night, leaving the New York Jets (6-7), who play the Tenseness Titans tonight on Monday night football 1.5 games behind that final wild-card spot. IF the Jets lose tonight, the Bengals would clinch their second straight playoff berth with a win over the Steelers next Sunday. If the jets win tonight, then win their next two games against the San Diego Chargers (5-9) and Buffalo Bills (5-9), then the Bengals would need to win-out against the Steelers and Baltimore Ravens (9-5), which would be a tall task considering they’ve lost six-straight against those two opponents.

In other words: Let’s go Titans!

In injury news for tonight’s game:

The Jets will be without starting TE Dustin Keller (ankle) and WR Stephen Hill (knee) as they are inactive. Also inactive for the Jets are QB Greg McElroy, CB Aaron Berry, OLB Bryan Thomas, NT Damon Harrison, and C Caleb Schlauderaff.

The Titans have declared WR Damian Williams, MLB Colin McCarthy, DE Scott Solomon, QB Rusty Smith, LB Xavier Adibi, OT Daniel Baldridge, and OG Mitch Petrus inactive for tonight’s game.
