ESPN’s Chris Mortensen is reporting that it’s a virtual certainty that current New York Jets backup QB Tim Tebow will play for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2013. Mort says Jaguars owner Shad Khan still wants Tebow in Jacksonville, just as he did in March when the team attempted to trade for him, but were ultimately beat out by the Jets, who have become a dumpster fire and will likely clean-house at the end of the season.
With the Washington redskins battling for an NFC East crown, the team expects to have Robert Griffin III (knee), as he’s been cleared by the medical staff and will start vs. the Philadelphia Eagles.
The NFL player’s Association expects the team-by-team spending limit to increase only by $400,000 per team, jumping from $120.6 million to $121 million.
Baltimore Ravens MLB Ray Lewis (triceps) is not expected to return before the end of the regular season, but should be ready for the playoffs.
