UPDATE 7:23 PM
The Ravens win gives them the AFC North title. The Bengals are now almost certain to play in New England against the Patriots in the wild card round of the playoffs, as they’re now locked-in as the 6 seed.
First, and most important, the Bengals are in the playoffs in consecutive seasons for the first time since the 1981-82 campaigns led by Ken Anderson, who ironically y wore the same jersey number of 14 that Andy Dalton currently dawns.
Even better was that in the process, the Bengals eliminated the Pittsburgh Steelers from postseason contention, who at 7-8, will finish with the first non-winning season under head coach Mike Tomlin since he was named the Steelers HC in 2007.
The Indianapolis Colts also won today and with a win next week ,will clinch the fifth-seed.
The Houston Texans lost at home to the Minnesota Vikings, and failed to lock-up home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
The New England Patriots won today, and could be the 1, 2, 3, or 4 seed based on next week.
Speaking of the Broncos, they are still alive for earning home-field-advantage, but can also end up playing in the wild card round if they lose today.
