The Bengals will head to Houston to face the Texans next Saturday at 4:30 p.m. on NBC, the exact same time and day of last year’s Wild-Card matchup. Hopefully this one has a different result.
The Cincinnati Bengals are headed to Houston for the second-consecutive postseason to face the Texans after today’s results. With the Texans (12-4) losing at Indianapolis to the Colts (11-5), they fall from the #1 overall-seed in the AFC to the #3 seed after they lost three of their final four games to end the 2012 season.
The Denver Broncos (13-3) t demolished the Kansas City Chiefs (2-14) to clinch the top seed, and the New England Patriots (12-4) handled Miami Dolphins (7-9) to mve up to the #2 seed.
The Texans haven’t been at their best lately, with their last win being over the Colts in week 15, which came between losses to New England and Minnesota by a combined 45 points. This is arguably the best matchup for the Bengals going into the postseason that they could have gotten.
Had the Texans won today, the Bengals would have faced the Patriots, winners of nine of their past 10 games.
