The Texans have already placed starting liebacker Darryl Sharpton on the injured reserve list after suffering a hip injury in Sunday’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts, so getting Reed back would be a huge boost.

Cornerback Alan Ball, who missed much of the last month with a foot injury was able to practice on a limited basis today.
